"This is it folks, over the Top" - Doc Neeson (Take a Long Line) The Angels 1977
The famous Border Ranges Run is what Doc was talking about when they released that legendary Australian Rock Song, Take a Long Line. Its actually a reference to The Lion Head Road that is travelled on*
This is the one to be on. It is a fantastic day of driving some of the very best roads that South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales has to offer. The roads, the scenery and the locations are breathtaking. We start early in the morning and will have lunch at the famous Uki Hotel.
In a Border Ranges Run first, at our morning tea stop in the border ranges national park, BMW Club Qld's most supportive member for 2016, Crystal, is supplying her famous cupcakes for everyone to try. Here is a rare opportunity to get your hands on Crystals Cupcakes. Trust me, they're delicious.
You will not be disappointed in this run I can assure you. Register early and as usual, make sure you register any passengers you may be bringing. BMWCQ members are free and there is a $5 fee (covers insurance) for non members.
We will send out more info as we get closer to the date, but as Molly Meldrum says "Do yourself a favour" and put this one in the diary.
And just to get you in the mood, lets hear it first hand from the God of Aussie Rock , Doc Neeson himself.
Take it away Doc
