BMW Club Qld is pleased to promote the Festival of Elegance, Gold Coast Super Saturday of Water, Wheels and Wings. This charity event, in its fifth year, raises funds to sponsor Gold Coast youth through Driver Training Courses, an activity BMWCQ strongly supports. This is a multi event day commencing with a Show and Shine at Coombabah Airfield. Following the Show and Shine trophy presentation, there is a Mystery Trivia Tour, this culminates near Canungra at the marshalling area for the last leg of the day a, closed road Hill Climb up Tamborine Mountain Rd - known as "The Goat Track".
The Hill Climb: is a reliability style participation run, where you nominate your time to travel the set distance, to normal road rules and the participant closest to their time will be announced “King of the Hill” at drinks at 5pm.
Note: the Hill Climb is for road registered cars or bikes only. Entry is limited to 60 invitations only where the road is closed for this event. BMWCQ has been offered 4 spaces for the Hill Climb with an extra 2 as reserves if the full 60 entrants are not received. The club will sponsor the Hill Climb entry fee of $20 per car.
As a participation reward, entry from our club will give preference to those who have been actively participating in the clubs Motorsport events in the past.
The Show and Shine and Mystery Trivia Tour are open to any one and are $10 each, with no restriction on numbers. Use the attached entry forms to enter the Show and Shine and Trivia Drive directly, enter the Hill Climb event here through the club site.
